Dr. Rosemarie Strong

Rosemarie Strong,
DVM
Dr. Strong is a 1989 graduate of Oklahoma State University Center of Veterinary Health Sciences. She is an associate at the Memorial Road Pet Hospital, a small animal practice in Edmond, OK. She is currently a member of the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is on the board of directors for the OSU-O.C. Veterinary Technology program, and on the admissions committee for the OSU-CVHS, and has sponsored numerous 4th year veterinary students preceptors. Dr. Strong was also instrumental in organizing the Veterinary display at the Oklahoma History Center.

Dr. Mike Tripp
|
Mike Tripp, DVM
Dr. Tripp, received his DVM form Oklahoma State University in 1982. He owns the Southern Plains Animal Hospital, a mixed animal practice in Ringling, OK. Dr. Tripp has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association for 25 years. Has served on several OVMA committees, is an OVMA mentor for three OSU students, and serves on the Continuing Education Committee for the Southwest Veterinary symposium. He is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and the American Association of Swine Practitioners.
Dr. Tripp is the Chairman of Deacons and Youth Sunday School teacher at the Ringling First Baptist Church; has received an Honorary State FFA Degree for work with area FFA Chapters; an Honorary Child for work with Oklahoma Baptist Home for Girls. He enjoys raising Yorkshire breeding swine in his free time.

Dr. Bret White

Bret White, DVM
Dr. White is a 2005 graduate of Oklahoma State University Center of Veterinary Health Sciences. He is an associate at the Cushing Veterinary Clinic, a mixed animal practice that is predominately large animal in Cushing. He is currently a member of the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Academy of Rural Veterinarians. He is also active with the Payne County Fair board, Payne County Tax Oversight Committee, Payne County Cattlemen’s Association, and the American Shorthorn Association.
Dr. White volunteers each year, since he was in veterinary school, at the OVMA Birthing Center and Surgical Suite at the Oklahoma State Fair. He was the New Graduate Section Chair for the 2009 OVMA Conference committee. He is a Academy of Rural Veterinarians Veterinary School Speaker and provides preceptor mentorship for 4th year veterinary students from Oklahoma State University and Texas A & M.
The Young Veterinarian of the Year award honors a practitioner who has graduated from veterinary school within the past ten years, currently active in the field of veterinary medicine, member of the OVMA, have shown outstanding contributions to organized veterinary medicine, increased public awareness through their work or their actions and are active in OVMA and their community.

Dr. Becky Brewer-Walker

Becky Brewer-Walker, DVM
Dr. Brewer-Walker is 1984 graduate of Oklahoma State University Center of Veterinary Health Sciences. She is State Veterinarian with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture.Prior to being appointed the State Veterinarians, Dr. Brewer-Walker owned the Cimarron Veterinary Clinic, a mixed animal practice that is predominately large animal in Chickasha. She is currently a member of the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the United States Animal Helath Association.
Dr. Brewer-Walker has attended training at Plum Island, NY, on foreign animal disease diagnostics. She is a published author in “Horse”. She has worked with the Chickasha FFA, and 4-H, and is a member of the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce. She has been a member of the Chickasha Lions Club for over 20 years and has received their Heart of the Lion Award, has served with the philanthropic PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) for almost 25 years.
The Distinguished Service award honors a veterinarian or non-veterinarian who has made significant contributions to veterinary medicine, has shown outstanding contributions to organized veterinary medicine, increased public awareness through their work or their actions and are active in OVMA and their community.
