Why be a member? Let us answer that for you.  The Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) is a professional trade organization for veterinarians. The association was formed in 1907 and incorporated in 1934. 

The association is comprised of nearly 1,000 individual Oklahoma veterinarians, OSU faculty, veterinary students, out-of-state veterinarians, and allied members.

Active w/PAC - $260
    

Active members shall be voting members eligible to hold office and shall be entitled to all benefits and services of OVMA.
Includes a $25 donation to the DVM Pac.

OVMA Annual Convention & Expo Attendee
     This is a default member type automatically created by the convention system for non-member convention attendees.
Active without Pac - $235.
    

Active members shall be voting members eligible to hold office and shall be entitled to all benefits and services of OVMA.
Does not include a $25 donation to the DVM Pac.

Non-Resident - $117.50
    

Non-resident members shall be those veterinarians who qualify for active membership but do not reside in the State of Oklahoma. Non-resident members shall enjoy all privileges of active membership except that they shall have no vote and shall not hold elective office. Non-resident members shall pay dues at a rate ½ that of active members. Non-resident members may choose to pay full dues and have all privileges of active membership, except that they shall not hold elective office.

2007 Active New Graduate - $117.50
    

Active new graduate membership may be extended to veterinarians who are Oklahoma State University graduates or other new graduates who are residing in Oklahoma. They shall be exempt from dues from the date of their graduation until June 30 of the following calendar year and shall pay one fourth (¼) the amount of annual dues for active members the succeeding OVMA fiscal year, and one half (½) the amount of annual dues for active members the third fiscal year. Active membership requiring full payment of the amount of annual dues for active members shall commence with the fourth full fiscal year following graduation. Active new graduate members shall be voting members with all rights and privileges of active membership.

2008 Active New Graduate - $58.75
     Active new graduate membership may be extended to veterinarians who are Oklahoma State University graduates or other new graduates who are residing in Oklahoma. Retired - $117.50
    

Retired members shall be those veterinarians who have retired completely from the practice of veterinary medicine and who are not eligible for life membership. Veterinarians who qualify for retired membership must notify the Executive Director in writing. Retired members shall be voting members entitled to all rights and privileges of active membership. Retired members shall pay dues at a rate equal to one-half that of active members.

Allied - $235.
    

Allied industry membership may be extended to representatives of allied industries. Allied industry members shall be non-voting members, ineligible to hold office, and shall pay annual dues in an amount set by the Executive Board, and shall be subject to annual review for membership renewal.
